ITANAGAR, Nov 24: MLA Jambey Tashi on Saturday inaugurated the health sub-centres in Kharteng and Mangnam villages in Lungla subdivision of Tawang district.
At both places, the MLA appealed to the people to maintain personal hygiene and keep away from tobacco, alcohol and other intoxicants. He made a special request to the village heads and leaders to educate expecting mothers to go for institutional birth and avail the health benefits under various government schemes.
“Children are our future and we must ensure a healthy and disease-free future by immunizing our children. No child should be left without immunization, and every mother should get maximum care and health checkups during and after child birth,” the MLA said.
Tashi also asked the villagers to get enrolled for the Chief Minister’s Arogya Arunachal Scheme, and urged the educated youths to help the villagers in getting registered.
He informed that two more health sub-centres, in Muktur and Blet-Teng villages, are in the pipeline.
The health sub-centres were inaugurated in the presence of DMO Dr Wangdi Lama, officials, public leaders, and others. (DIPRO)
