ITANAGAR, Nov 27: The Nyishi Ethnic Students’ Association (NESA) has sought the state government’s intervention in expediting the construction of the four-lane highway from Chandranagar to Papu Nallah.
In a release on Tuesday, NESA stated that the construction agency was “facing problems in further construction of the road due to the ongoing protest by the building owners of the capital complex.”
It requested the state government to set up a special committee to address the issue, taking cognizance of the building owners as well as the construction agency, “so that development may not be hampered.”
“The road condition is worse and construction is presently in a snail pace now,” the organisation said, and appealed to the building owners of the capital complex to cooperate with the construction agency “for the overall benefit of all.”
