PBSG starts statewide motivational mission

ITANAGAR, Nov 27: A day after the launch of the Pay Back to Society Group (PBSG) mission by Governor BD Mishra, the Indian armed forces officers from Arunachal Pradesh began their statewide motivational programme on Tuesday to inculcate nationalism and positivism among college and school students.
In Namsai, the district administration hosted the motivational programme at the town club. Speaking as a resource person, Lt Zaukhumgam Singpho, a native of Bordumsa in Changlang district, advised the students to manage their time for good purposes. He also advised interested students to contact the PBSG for pursuing careers in the armed forces.
Col Koj Tari, Lt Cdr Ronie Chowpoo, Namsai MLA Chow Zingnu Namchoom and DC Tapasya Raghav also spoke.
At West Siang HQ Aalo, hundreds of students from higher secondary schools and the NEFTU participated in the PBSG’s motivational programme at Gumin Kiin.
Maj Gen Jarken Gamlin, Lt Cdr Rige Bagra and Maj Nyajum Rida Jilen spoke as resource persons and exhorted the students to join the armed forces.
Among others, DC Swetika Sachan attended the programme.
At Tirap HQ Khonsa, Maj K Juja, Flt Lt Simon Doke and Lt Mobia Hangu interacted with and motivated students.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Wanglin Lowangdong said “it is a matter of pride to see commissioned officers of the army and the navy, especially Maj K Juja, a native of Lazu village, Lt Mobia Hangu, a native of Ziro, and Flt Lt Simon Doke of Siang district at the motivational workshop.”
He urged the students also to “study harder, so as to pay back to their parents in particular and society as a whole.”
DC PN Thungon highlighted the BPSG’s mission.
At East Kameng HQ Seppa, the visiting PBSG team, including Wing Commander Takio Teji and Majors Tero Keyang and TC Tayum, interacted with the students of the higher secondary schools and the government model college, and urged them to grasp the opportunity to serve the nation by joining the armed forces. They also explained the benefits and multi-faceted opportunities in the armed forces.
CO Pooza Sonam Natung also spoke.
At Lohit HQ Tezu, the PBSG motivational programme was held at the GHSS auditorium, with Col Koj Tari, Lt Cdr Chow Ronie Chowpoo and Lt Z Singpho as the resource persons.
