Mossang urges teachers to remain dedicated towards improving state’s education sector

MIAO, Nov 28: Minister for Mines and Minerals Kamlung Mossang asked teachers to remain sincere and become dedicated towards improving the education sector particularly in the rural region.
He was addressing a gathering during the valedictory function of teachers primary training camp which was organised by Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation here at Miao Auditorium on Wednesday.
Applauding the efforts of Ekal Abhiyan,Mossang also emphasised on cleanliness being a part of moral obligation. “We have to imbibe that moral obligation in our society that will help improve the state and nation, he added.
Also attending the function, MLA Laisam Simai said, “the current state of education in the district is not good and we hope that Ekal Abhiyan will play the alternative role in improving the situation of education in rural belt.
Ekal Vidyalaya is a movement involved in integrated and holistic development of rural and tribal India. The main activity undertaken in this movement is to run one-teacher schools (known as Ekal Vidyalayas) all over India, in the remotest rural and tribal villages to take the education to every child. As of now Changlang district alone has 60 functioning Ekal Vidyalaya.
