Moyong declares renovated school building reopen

PASIGHAT, Nov 29: Local MLA Kaling Moyong declared reopening of renovated building of Balek Secondary School in presence of government officers and school authorities here on Thursday.
Balek Secondary School building including two classrooms and teachers’ common room were renovated by the Association of Balek School Alumnae (ABSA) and well-wishers.
Moyong, in his address, appreciated the president and secretary of ABSA, Kaling Dai and Oshong Doming respectively for their associates.
Informing that government has readopted detention policy, he advised the teaching community to adopt modern teaching methodology.
The MLA sanctioned an amount of Rs fifty thousand and further assured the school community to continue his support for overall development of the school.
DC T Tatak in his speech discouraged absenteeism,.
Cautioning the students against drug menace and alcoholism, he said ‘students must concentrate in career building and spare time for sports and games for personality development.’
Earlier, Headmaster Kalom Ering presented a brief report on achievements and challenges being faced by the school.
Among others, retired ADCs Obang Dai and Oti Dai, ABSA president Kaling Dai and SMC Chairman Bani Perme also spoke on the occasion. DIPRO
