NAHARLAGUN, Dec 7: Jharkhand and Telangana won their respective matches in the Hero Sub-Junior National Football Championship (NFC) at RG Stadium here on Friday.
Jharkhand beat Goa 5-1 in the first match of the day, in which Santosh Kujur and Suraj Baxla scored a brace each and Harsit Bara one.
The consolation goal for Goa came in the first half, scored by Aryan Dharmendra Solunke.
Telangana pipped Haryana 1-0 in the second match, and Mohd Zaid Farooqui scored the winner in the 72nd minute.
Arunachal will play against Tamil Nadu at 2 pm on Saturday, before Odisha takes on Punjab at 6 pm.
