NEW KANGKHO, Dec 28: Changlang North MLA Tesam Pongte on Friday distributed six solar streetlights for installation in the newly-created New Kangkho village in Yatdam circle of Changlang district.
The streetlights were made available by the CRPF’s 149 battalion as part of its civic action programme.
The MLA thanked the battalion for the initiative and expressed hope that the defence forces would continue to render assistance to the people in the remote areas.
The battalion’s Second-in-Command, PK Sahoo, extended greetings to the villagers on the coming new year, and gave assurance that the CRPF would keep working in the interests of the nation while maintaining harmony with the locals and contributing towards their welfare.
