ITANAGAR, Jan 2: Veterinary officer (VD, Thrizino) Dr Dipankar Kalita passed away on 30 December at the GNRC Hospital in Guwahati, Assam after a brief period of entering into a coma.
The state Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Vety & Dairy Development prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and the bereaved family, and said that “Dr Kalita shall always be remembered as a sincere, pragmatic and diligent officer of the department.”
“The entire veterinary fraternity of the state stands with the bereaved family at this hour of grief,” it added.
Members of the Doimukh Nyedar Namlo also held a special prayer on the occasion of Donyi-Polo Day at the Rono grounds on 31st December seeking eternal peace for late Kholie Tath and prayed to almighty Anne Donyi to bestow strength to the aggrieved family members.
