Fire safety training imparted

ITANAGAR, Jan 6: The staff of the Raj Bhavan here, including officials and security personnel, underwent training in fire safety measures on Saturday.
Personnel from the APP’s fire and emergency services, comprising Sub-Fire Officer S Dokho and Constables Bomnu Gamlin and Narinder Singh, demonstrated the correct techniques and methods to control fire accidents. They also demonstrated the use of different types of fire extinguishers.
“A fire needs three elements in order for it to ignite, ie, oxygen, fuel and heat, and a fire can be extinguished by removing one of these elements. For instance, covering a fire with a fire blanket removes the oxygen supply, therefore putting the fire out,” the sub-fire officer said. (Raj Bhavan)
