THONGLEK, Jan 10: Villagers from Kudung, Pamakhar, Sakpret, Thonglek, Sagkyur and adjoining villages benefited from a Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) organised here by the Tawang district administration on Thursday.
DC Sang Phuntsok, who inaugurated the camp, felicitated the toppers of the Thonglek upper primary school, distributed 7 new LPG connections under the Ujjawala Yojana, and free seeds for the villagers. He also inspected the shrine being constructed in commemoration of the Dalai Lama’s stay in the village on the night of 4 April, 1959.
In East Siang district, the administration conducted a SAD camp concurrently with the ‘Arunachal Rising’ (AR) campaign at Mirem village.
ADC Tatdo Borang inaugurated the programmes, and expressed hope that through the AR campaign “the channel of communication between government and public would be established for the benefit of the people.”
Borang along with DPO SK Sharma, CO Oni Padun, HoDs and GBs visited all the stalls and interacted with the officials on duty. (DIPROs)
