‘Workers should fight for their rights’

ITANAGAR, Jan 15: Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) Chairman Jalley Sonam urged the labour class to fight for their dignity and rights.
Addressing an event organized by the All Arunachal Pradesh PWD Workers’ Union (AAPPWDWU) here on Tuesday, Sonam recalled the numerous hardships the workers of the state have had to face while fighting for their rights.
He also dwelt on the various statutory and non-statutory benefits being provided by the board.
Public liaison officer to the chief minister, Techi Nera, highlighted the contributions of the AAPPWDWU since its establishment 25 years ago, and urged the workers to avail the benefits provided by the board.
Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Unions (JWCAPTU) chairman Changma Tajo, JWCAPTU secretary-general Kenkar Yomcha, AAPPWDWU president Rakhe Boda, and AAPPWDWU general secretary Tai Tarbin also spoke.
