ITANAGAR, Jan 23: A green skill development programme (GSDP) training programme on bamboo handicrafts began at the conference hall of the director of State Forest Research Institute (SFRI), here in Papum Pare district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director (Environment) & ENVIS coordinator, Arunachal ENVIS Hub, D Dohu Robin highlighted the importance of green skill development programme of Ministry of Environment and Forest & Climate Change.
He explained how it was different from other skill development programmes and advised the participants to take full benefit of the workshop.
Earlier, the training was inaugurated by Itanagar Ajin Anna Society chairperson Techi Anna and attended by Scientist & Nodal Officer National Bamboo Mission Dr Kara Taj and Senior Scientist (Bamboo), SFRI Dr L R Bhuyan.
