APYC holds protest against CAB

NEW DELHI, Jan 31: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) along with members of the North East youth Congress took out a massive protest rally here on Thursday in front of the residence of Home Minister Rajnath Singh to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB).
Many youth Congress workers, including APYC president Geli Ete were detained at the Mandir Marg police station for nearly seven hours.
Raising slogans of ‘Save north east, save India’, ‘scrap citizenship bill’, the protestors also raised slogans against MoS Home Kiren Rijiju, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
“North east region is not the dumping ground of refugees. The BJP government at the centre cannot take away our rights and dump illegal immigrants into the North East. We will never allow passage of such a bill,” said Ete.
