JAIRAMPUR, Jan 31: A daylong awareness programme on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) under Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organized by the Electoral Registration Officer of Jairampur at the Jairampur Saw and Veneer Mills at Terit Nagar Industrial Area, here in Changlang district on Thursday.
The morning session of the awareness programme was held at Sapolo Hall, covering the Jairampur market area, while the evening session saw the team covering the entire industrial area.
EVM-VVPAT nodal officer, Suktana Enling informed old and new voters about the EVM & VVPAT.
Earlier, on Wednesday, a team of officers led by ADC SS Choudhury also carried out a similar awareness programme at Nampong.
