ITANAGAR, Feb 4: Governor BD Mishra has suggested initiating joint action by the state government and the Sulabh International Social Service Organization (SISSO) to bring tangible results under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).
He made the suggestion when New Delhi-based SISSO’s founder Bindeshwar Pathak and Hyderabad-based Gandhi Darshan’s secretary GVVSDS Prasad called on him at the Raj Bhavan here on 4 February to discuss the SBM and the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Pathak briefed the governor on the SISSO, while Prasad spoke on the initiatives of Gandhi Darshan.
The governor enumerated the Raj Bhavan’s initiatives under the SBM, and emphasized on promotion of cleanliness in the cities, towns and villages. (Raj Bhavan)
