CS reviews arrangements for PM’s visit

ITANAGAR, Feb 7: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal on Wednesday reviewed the arrangements being made for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state capital on 9 February.
Addressing a meeting with IG (Special Protection Group) S Suresh, CEO Kaling Tayeng, IGP Sunil Garg, senior state officers, and representatives of the NEEPCO, the CPWD, the BSNL and Doordarshan, the CS said all the deemed projects of the state are likely to be launched and inaugurated by the PM during his visit.
Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stones for the greenfield airport in Hollongi, seven 132 kv and twenty-four 33 kv substations, the Film and Television Institute of India, and
the Sela Pass tunnel and approach road. He is also scheduled to inaugurate the retrofitted airport in Tezu, dedicate the 110 mw Pare hydroelectric project, “and declare 100% households electrification,” the CS said.
Apart from these, the PM will launch Doordarshan’s 24×7 satellite channel for the Northeast region, Arun Prabha, with its headquarters in Itanagar. (CSO)
