SSC urges public, orgs to halt agitations

ITANAGAR, Feb 12: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), North East Region (NER) has appealed to all public fora and bodies to halt their agitation activities during February and March as more than 183162 candidates from the seven Northeast states are going to appear for the computer-based examination for constable (GD) which is being conducted from 11 February to 11 March in all the capital cities, and some other cities in Assam and Manipur.
The SSC issued the appeal in order to enable the candidates to take the examination without being troubled. In Arunachal, 3531 candidates are appearing for the exam at the examination centre in Naharlagun.
“Any inconvenience caused to the candidates by way of blocking of roads or disruptive activities at or around the area near the venues will deprive the job aspiring youths of the Northeast states the opportunity to compete with the rest of the country for various posts of central government,” the regional director of the SSC (NER) said in a release.
