PASIGHAT, Feb 13: Former Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Oyin Moyong passed away on13 February at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital here in East Siang district after a prolonged illness.
Born on 30 October, 1943 to Gigit Moyong and Oyam Dai Moyong at Kelek village under East Siang district, Oyin did his primary schooling from Balek Primary School.
Having done his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Teaching, (BABT) in 1969, he served as principal in various schools and retired as DDSE.
He was also conferred with the State Award for teaching in 1989.
Oyin is survived by his son and three grandsons. His last rites will be performed on 14 February.
