ITANAGAR, Feb 16: The history department of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) kicked off the second edition of the India Heritage Walk Festival (IHWF) by conducting a heritage walk at Gekar Sinyi lake near here.
Thirty-three participants, including DNGC’s History HoD Tsering Yangjom, took part in the walk, titled ‘Exploring folklores at Gekar Sinyi’, which was led by the college’s Assistant History Professor Duli Ete.
The IHWF-2019 is a month-long pan-Indian event organized jointly by Sahapedia (sahapedia.org), an encyclopedia of Indian arts and culture, and the UNESCO’s New Delhi office.
This year, the festival is being celebrated across 35 cities in the country.
