KOHIMA, Mar 8: Security forces under the aegis of DAO division apprehended one Along Wangnow, a Self-Styled Sergeant of NSCN (IM) during an operation in the early hours of 7 March in Khonsa town of Tirap district.
Based on specific intelligence about presence of insurgent trying to terrorize and carryout extortion in Khonsa town, the security forces swiftly launched an operation and nabbed the self-styled sergeant. A pistol and live ammunition was also seized from his possession, informed a Kohima-based Defence PRO Col C Konwer.
