ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The officers and staffs of the rural development (RD) directorate and the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) have expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Ningyomi Breeze Doye, who breathed her last on Tuesday evening in Naharlagun after a brief illness.
Doye, who was born on 3 January, 1965, in Manipur, did her MA in sociology from Delhi University’s Miranda House. She was married to ophthalmologist Dr R Doye.
She started her career in Arunachal Pradesh as an assistant teacher in 1992. Later, she joined the district rural development agency as assistant project officer (DWCRA), and was eventually promoted as deputy director.
She later joined the ArSRLM, on deputation from the RD department, as its state mission manager (HR & admin), in 2012.
Doye was a key member of the team that worked tirelessly for the development of the ArSRLM as a vibrant agency for effective planning and implementation of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and its various sub-component programmes, including the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), read a condolence message.
Her efforts in laying the foundation of the ArSRLM in its early days are regarded as having been instrumental in the ArSRLM being able to implement the NRLM and the DDU-GKY successfully in the state.
In separate condolence meetings on Wednesday, the officers and staffs of the RD department and the ArSRLM prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
