Start recruitment process of college teachers

Dear Editor,
I would like to remind the Chairman of APPSC that a year back the post of assistant professors were advertised and I was expecting that the exam notification will be published before the State Assembly Election but till date APPSC has not notified the date for Viva Voce.
In the same year the posts for TGT and PGT were also advertised after assistant professor but amazingly its exam were conducted in the month of January 2019. The irony is that the Candidature for the post of TGT and PGT combined is 20 times more than that of assistant professor. Also there is no need to conduct the written exam for the post of assistant professor. Now the question is why is the APPSC still failing to notify the exam date? Whenever we approached the chairman, time and again he clarifies that it takes time in the process of scrutiny of the applicants. It’s almost a year since the advertisement was floated and we have been preparing for the said exam. As the saying goes “the fruit of patience is sweet”, it is nowhere applicable in this case, instead we are frustrated. Secondly, does the conduct of the exam have something to do with the coming assembly election? Or is the commission facing “technical” difficulties in conducting the exam? If so, why not the commission handover the posts to RGU to conduct the exam? Since the new academic session is about to start, I think RGU can manage the recruitment process better within the time frame. Therefore, we expect the commission to announce the date before election results since the moral code of conduct is not applicable to APPSC and UPSC as they are constitutional bodies. We the frustrated and jobless candidates further would like to point out that unlike the medical profession wherein its difficult to find experts to conduct long duration interviews, in case of college teachers of humanities the services of experts are readily available. Moreover APPSC this time had gone online form fill up mode and therefore its ridiculous to say that it requires almost a year to scrutinize few hundred applications . Hope the commission won’t let the faith of all aspirants to be lost permanently and find a convenient date before the election result and may would fix a date for interview for the much delayed recruitment for the posts of assistant professor so that the student of various government college do not suffer for the want of acute shortage of teachers from the new academic session.
Through this letter I also appeal to the governor and the care taker Cheif minister Pema Khandu government of Arunachal Pradesh to intervene immediately to address the grievances in the larger public interest.
Sincerely
Frustrated Aspirant
