EO urges candidates to maintain accounts

YUPIA, Apr 1: Expenditure observer (assembly) of Papum Pare district, N Kheda Varta Singh, asked the contesting candidates of the district to abide by the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and maintain election expenditure accounts.
Addressing the election agents of the candidates during a meeting here on Monday, Singh said “maintenance of day-to-day accounts of election expenditure by the contesting candidates is mandatory and they should register the expenditure on a regular basis.”
The EO briefed the agents on the expenditure monitoring system for the contesting candidates, and cleared their doubts related to maintenance of day-to-day accounts of election expenditures.
Among others, ADC Tabang Bodung and AEOs attended the meeting.

GO visits ERO
In Lower Subansiri district, general observer (GO) Shanavas S visited the election registration office (ERO) in Yachuli on Monday and took stock of the election preparedness in the constituency.
He later visited the polling stations at the GHSS in Yazali and the government secondary schools in Yachuli and Pitapool and verified the facilities there. (DIPROs)
