ITANAGAR, Apr 8: Governor BD Mishra has appealed to the people of the state to exercise their adult franchise in the coming elections to further strengthen the country’s democratic process.
“In election, every single vote counts,” the governor said, and urged the electors to participate in the country’s highest democratic process.
“India as a nation has the distinction of being the world’s biggest democracy. Our democracy is solidly built on the principles of universal suffrage. This provides us the constitutional right to vote during the elections. Therefore, it is our moral, social and national responsibility to participate in this democratic process,” he said. (Raj Bhavan)
