DOIMUKH, Apr 8: The National People’s Party’s (NPP) Arunachal West parliamentary candidate, Khyoda Apik, said it was time to change the leadership in the state.
Addressing an election rally at the general ground here on Monday, Apik said while there are several leaders working for the welfare of the people, the pace of development has been considerably slow.
“Time has come to change the guard and change our attitude and mindset,” he said, and urged his fellow NPP candidates to work for the welfare of the people and the development of the state.
Apik also accused the BJP and the Congress party of playing with the sentiments of the tribal people of the state with the recent permanent resident certificate issue.
He further assured to address the issue of growing unemployment if elected to power.
The NPP’s Doimukh candidate, Nabam Vivek, said his vision for the development of all circles of the constituency includes a world-class school, a hospital with technical and infrastructure development, road connectivity to all left-out villages and circles, border area development, etc.
