TAWANG, Apr 10: The polling teams of Tawang district set out from the district headquarters here on Wednesday for their respective polling stations.
The polling teams for remote stations like Luguthang and Mago, which are to be reached on foot, had moved out on 8 April.
Tawang SP SS Kalsi said the polling teams for the remote polling stations have reached their destinations, and that HF stations for communication have also been installed.
There are 77 polling stations in Tawang district, out of which five are all-women polling stations – one each in Lumla and Mukto, and three in Tawang.
In Papum Pare district, the process of dispatching the polling teams and security personnel for 150 polling stations under Itanagar, Doimukh and Sagalee assembly constituencies was completed on Wednesday.
The administration and the police department have made adequate security arrangements for peaceful and smooth conduct of the simultaneous polls in the district. (DIPROs)
