AALO, Apr 19: A workshop on ‘folk and tribal healing practices in Arunachal Pradesh’, conducted at the North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) here in West Siang district, concluded on 15 April.
Organized by the Anthropos India Foundation in collaboration with New Delhi-based Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, the workshop was chaired by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi’s School of Social Science’s Anthropology Associate Professor Dr Sunita Reddy.
Dr Reddy discussed her findings in Sikkim and other parts of Northeast India.
A presentation on tribal folk medicines and healing practices, and interaction with students, faculty members and staffers of the NEFTU were also held as part of the workshop. (DIPRO)
