AALO, May 7: West Siang Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) K Tikhak said the banking institution has a pivotal role in providing loans to beneficiaries and conducting recovery drives.
Chairing a district level consultative meeting on the functioning of all banks falling under the lead bank’s office here, Tikhak exhorted the banks to play their roles proactively.
SBI Lead District Manager Rebot Chandra Patir enumerated the activities and functioning of all the banks under it, and stressed on meeting the yearly targets set by the government.
The heads of offices who attended the meeting spoke about the problems they face, and urged all banks to ensure timely sanctioning of loans to the selected beneficiaries. (DIPRO)
