ABK felicitates young achievers

ITANAGAR, Jun 30: The Adi Baane Kebang’s (ABK) academic board conducted a felicitation programme at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre here on 29 June for the recently selected assistant engineers through the APPSC examination, and for the sub-junior girl footballers who won the silver medal in the recently concluded national level tournament in Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang expressed hope that the newly selected officers would serve the people with dedication and commitment.
Informing that the new government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu “is committed to promote young talents in the state,” Libang commended the girl football players who made the state proud by winning the silver at the national level for the first time.
PWD Commissioner Belatee Pertin advised the young officers “not to get trapped under the influence of unscrupulous contractors.”
“Officers should serve free and fair for the welfare of the common people,” he said.
ABK president Getom Borang stressed on having managerial skills in delivering services to the people.
Eighteen engineers and the girl football players were awarded during the programme.
Many senior members of the Adi community also spoke on the occasion.
