ITANAGAR, Jul 1: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) in a memorandum to the chief minister on Monday requested him to modify/amend the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs & Professionals (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Act, 2015, and the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) Act, 2018, “in the larger interests of people of Arunachal Pradesh.”
The ANYA stated that the condition given under Section 4, Sub-clause (1) of the AP District Based Entrepreneurs & Professionals (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Act, 2015, has deprived most of the local youths who wish to take up entrepreneurship as their career.
Stating that the Section 4, Sub-clause (1) of the act has made tendering compulsory for works worth Rs 50 lakhs to Rs 10 crore and above, the association urged the CM for a work order system for works worth up to Rs 1 crore with a condition that the beneficiary is a permanent resident of that particular assembly constituency.
The ANYA also demanded that the state government modify/amend the APSSB recruitment process for Group C posts/job by introducing a district-wise quota system, which, the association said, would provide equal job opportunities to all aspiring candidates.
