AAPFWU demands release of pending salaries

ITANAGAR, July 4: The All Arunachal Pradesh Forest Workers’ Union (AAPFWU) has demanded release of pending salaries of the forest labourers by Saturday.
In a letter written to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) on Thursday, the Union said that the forest workers did not receive their salaries for the last four months despite repeated plea for the same.
It said that the union had submitted its demand to the department concerned on 22 June for release of pending salaries, but “no action has been initiated till date.”
The union threatened to launch indefinite strike from 8 July if the authorities fail to release the salary within the given period of time.
