BASAR, Jul 8: An awareness programme on ‘population mobilization and stabilization and rotavirus vaccine’ was held at the CHC here in Lepa Rada district by Deputy Commissioner (in-charge) Hento Karga on 5 July, in the presence of medical officers, GBs and HoDs.
The DC urged the people of the district to avail the facilities provided by the government to control diseases like diarrhoea “in this peak summer month.”
Medical sciences have been able to drastically reduce the child mortality rate due to diseases such as diarrhoea, malaria, dysentery, goitre, smallpox, polio, etc, the DC said.
Stating that population mobilization and stabilization are also essential, he asked the medical department to make all-out effort to create awareness about them at the grassroots level. (DIPRO)
