Arrest of all involved in TAH scam sought

ITANAGAR, Jul 8: The Nyishi Ethnic Students’ of Arunachal (NESA) has urged the special investigation cell (SIC) to carry out a thorough investigation and arrest all persons involved in the multi-crore Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) compensation scam.
In a press release, the NESA on Monday lauded the SIC for arresting the accused involved in the scam, and requested the health & family welfare principal secretary to ensure that the medical examination of both the arrested persons is carried out properly and a fair and transparent report is submitted.
“Accused admitting themselves in hospitals under the pretext of health problem is the most common excuse. The committee constituted under the health department should be headed by the health & family welfare principal secretary. Even the role of the MLAs and the DLRSO concerned should be thoroughly investigated,” it said.
