‘Coaching clinic’ inaugurated

RAGA, Jul 13: A ‘coaching clinic’ for meritorious students, initiated under the Acharya Gurukul Yojana to provide coaching facilities to students studying in the rural areas, was inaugurated by Kamle DC Moki Loyi at the government higher secondary school here on Saturday.
The DC also distributed laptops, smartphones and cash awards among meritorious students of the district during the function.
“Through this flagship programme, the government aims to create a pool of educated and enlightened students who will grow into law abiding citizens. Kamle still needs hand-holding in the education sector, mainly due to the communication bottleneck,” the DC said.
Underscoring the role of teachers and parents in shaping the future of the students, the DC urged them to guide and motivate their wards. He also advised the students to use the smartphones and laptops “to keep themselves abreast with the tech savvy world.”
Among others GHSS Principal Oshon Borang and HoDs attended the programme. (DIPRO)
