PASIGHAT, Jul 16: East Siang HQ Pasighat will host the Senior Women’s National Football Championship, from 10 to 30 September this year, at the newly constructed stadium here.
According to official sources, 30 teams, comprising 700 players and sports officials from across India, will take part in the championship.
DC Kinny Singh convened a coordination meeting with state and district sports officials, administrative officers and HoDs here on Monday to chalk out a plan for smooth conduct of the event.
During the meeting, the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association’s state coordinator Orin Lego and secretary Kipa Ajay, DSO (Sports) Nada Apa, and other sports officials offered their suggestions and views. General Jamoh and Tamat Gamoh briefed the DC on the requirements and challenges.
The DC urged the sports officials and HoDs to submit their requirements, proposals, estimates, etc, at the earliest for onward submission to the state authority to seek the required fund. (DIPRO)
