ITANAGAR, Jul 30: GSS Motum (East Siang) beat GHSS Seppa (East Kameng) 1-0 in the final match of the 8th U-17 boys’ state level Subroto Mukerjee Cup football tournament played at the DNGC playground here on Tuesday.
Jerahmeel Jamoh of GSS Motum scored the wining goal for the team in the 42nd minute of the match. Despite a tough fight, GHSS Seppa lost the match.
With this, GSS Motum became the only secondary school of the state to lift the state level Subroto Cup. The champion team will represent Arunachal in the international Subroto Cup tournament to be held in Delhi. The team must report there by 5 September for the international event.
The valedictory function saw the attendance of Secondary Education Director Gania Leij
and Secondary Education Joint Director Marken Kadu, besides DDSEs Tomi Doke Lendo and S Ronrang, YWO L Sokun Singh, and others.
