YUPIA, Jul 30: The Papum Pare district level committee held a meeting here on Tuesday to select new proposals under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakaram (PMJVK).
Speaking on the occasion, Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara urged the BDOs to come up with schemes that are “creative and innovative in nature, besides keeping in view their feasibility.”
He asked the BDOs to sensitize committees in their respective jurisdictions to their roles and responsibilities towards proper implementation of government schemes.
He also stressed on selection of proposals “on need basis,” adding that the projects should be implemented properly and completed on time.
DC Vikram Singh Malik expressed satisfaction over the proposals presented by the BDOs, describing them as “grounded and based upon the needs of people.”
However, he advised the BDOs to consult technical engineers before preparing the estimate of any proposal.
The BDOs of Kimin, Balijan, Doimukh and Sagalee presented new proposals of their respective blocks for 2019-2020 under the PMJVK.
Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki was also present at the meeting. (DIPRO)
