MLA apprised of public’s grievances

AALO, Jul 30: The Aalo Town People’s Welfare and Development Society (ATPWDS) placed a wide range of issues concerning the welfare of Aalo town before local MLA Kento Jini during an interaction programme here last Saturday.
Responding to the memorandum submitted by the organisation on the deplorable condition of the roads here, Jini said he had raised the issue of the Aalo-Likabali and the Potin-Pangin roads in the assembly, and that the chief minister has given assurance to look into it.
“The internal roads will be taken care of in a phased manner, and tangible works will be expected within five years,” the MLA said. He also assured to look into issues like upgrading the general hospital here to a zonal hospital, provision of fund for renovating the power substation in Yego, drawing electricity from the Siru Tali hydel project, etc.
The matters of constructing the Aalo stadium, the tender for which had been floated three years back, and drawing water from the Yomgo river for Aalo township also appeared prominently during the discussion.
ATPWDS chairman Kento Ete urged the MLA to “keep close rapport with the MLAs of Aalo West, Liromoba and Shi-Yomi” to contribute to the development of Aalo town. (DIPRO)
