ACC&I to launch verification mela in districts

ITANAGAR, Jul 31: Encouraged with the reception of over 20,000 applications during the two-day verification mela on 7 and 21 July, the Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACC&I) in a meeting here on Tuesday decided to launch such melas in the districts as well.
District melas will be in collaboration with the district unit police.
The ACCI executive body, chaired by president Tarh Nachung and secretary general Toko Tatung, held threadbare discussion on various problems faced, and took vital decisions unanimously.
They also lauded former DGP SBK Singh for conceiving the mela idea for preparing a data bank in collaboration with the state police of all non-Arunachalees working in the state other than the government.
Accordingly, it was decided that Arunachal Pradesh will be divided into East, West, North and South zones with specific district to be headed by a zonal secretary each. All districts will also have a unit and get affiliated with the ACCI.
Additionally, it was reported that 317 trade establishments of the Akashdeep Complex in Ganga market are receiving less foot prints due to wrong entry barricade. It was decided that the barricade would be changed with the help of the Capital Complex SP.
The ACC&I also decided to felicitate SI Krishnenedu Deb for brining to book an IOC officer for duping a trader of Rs 40 lakh through RTGS with false promise of allotting a petrol depot, besides other activities.
