ITANAGAR, Jul 31: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has demanded that the state government take urgent steps for early completion of the Naharlagun to Borum bridge, the Itanagar Division IV bridge and culvert at DDK colony road near the Director Higher and Technical office in the current working season to ease traffic congestion on the NH-415.
The association has in a release on Wednesday, claimed that the major causes behind traffic congestion in the twin capital are the said incomplete bridges and culverts or retaining walls.
“Due to heavy traffic jam on road public are facing untold misery. Employees are not able to reach office on time, emergency patients are stuck on the road and students are delayed for classes,” the association said and appealed to the work executing agency to speed up work in the current season in the larger interest of the people.
It also demanded that the state government release pending amount to the department concerned for early execution of the Naharlagun to Borum bridge and Itanagar Division IV bridge so that it can be completed on time for public utility.
