ITANAGAR, Aug 1: The ‘9 Warriors Independence Day Running Trophy Football Tournament’ has begun at the KV here.
In the opening match, Gohpur Sporting Club (GSC) defeated Mining Colony FC (MCFC) 3-1. Nabam Hari, Satam Raja and Tagru Niki scored a goal each for GSC, and the lone goal for MCFC was scored by Anand Sonam.
Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board Chairman Jalley Sonam and Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries vice president Azad Bagang were among those who witnessed the opening match.
On Friday, Ward No 3 will play IX Pirates, while Tirbin United FC will play Tara Sporting Club.
