ITANAGAR, Aug 1: A delegation of the All Arunachal Pradesh Gorkha Youth Welfare Association, led by its president Shyam Gatani and general secretary Rajesh Chetry, recently called on the AYUSH ministry’s Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy’s governing body member Dr Dinesh Upadhaya at a city hotel here and discussed with him the benefits of yoga, especially for the youths of Arunachal.
The delegates also advocated organising awareness camps related to yoga and herbal medicines in the state.
Commending the endeavour of the Gorkha youths for the promotion of yoga, Dr Upadhaya assured to extend all possible support from the Centre’s end in this regard.
Several other issues related to the Gorkha community in the state and in the Northeast region were also discussed.
