NAMTSERING, Aug 5: Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi on Monday visited the government residential school here in Tawang district and interacted with the parents of the two girl students who died when their hostel’s wall collapsed under a mudslide on 11 July.
He offered the bereaved families financial assistance out of pocket, and gifted 100 blankets to the school.
The MLA, accompanied by Lumla ADC RD Thungon and the Zemithang and Dudunghar COs, inspected the ongoing construction work on the residential school.
Emphasizing on work quality, the legislator directed the officials against compromising on work standards. (Tawang Vigilance)
