ITANAGAR, Aug 8: Chandranagar FC and G-Centre FC won their respective matches against SPD FC and Gohpur Sporting Club in the Independence Day Running Trophy Football Tournament at the APP ground here on Thursday.
While Chandranagar FC defeated SPD FC 5-0 in the first match, G-Centre FC beat Gohpur SC 1-0 in the second match.
Niktar Bai netted three goals and Toko Tapa scored two goals for Chandranagar FC. Murchi scored the only goal for G-Centre FC against Gohpur SC.
On Friday, Chandranagar FC will face Mining Colony FC in the first quarterfinal match at 2 pm, while Gohpur Sporting Club will play against IX Pirates FC at 3:30 pm in the second quarterfinal.
