LONGDING, Aug 9: The Wancho Students’ Union (WSU) has urged the Longding deputy commissioner to look into the matter of reported induction or appointment of school teachers as booth level officers (BLO).
In a representation to the DC, the union on Friday said teachers were being appointed as BLOs despite the shortage of teachers in the district.
“The additional charge (given to) the teachers is not only adversely affecting school education in the district but is also distracting the teachers from their main duty (of teaching),” the union stated in the representation.
It said there are officials like AFAs and BLWs to perform the tasks of BLOs.
