PASIGHAT, Aug 18: The badminton competition under the ‘Fraternity Tournament-2019’ began at JN College (JNC) here in East Siang district on Sunday.
Apart from badminton, cricket, volleyball and football will also be conducted in a phased manner later on.
Prior to the start of the tournament, a plantation programme was organized by the JNC’s ‘environmental club’ in association with the college’s alumni association. The plantation programme was also joined by administrative officers, doctors, engineers, sportspersons, and others.
JNC Principal Dr Milorai Modi, Vice Principal Dr SD Choudhury, and BJL president TS Gibo attended the opening ceremony.
The badminton tournament will continue till 20 August, and will be followed by other sports competitions.
