TAWANG, Aug 26: The district level quiz competition under Samagra Shiksha (Integrated Scheme for School Education) was conducted for the upper primary and primary level students of Tawang district here on Monday.
Mogto Bongkhar block bagged the first position in the primary level, while Kyidphel and Lungla blocks came second and third, respectively.
The winner in the upper primary level quiz competition was Kyidphel block. Mogto Bongkhar and Lungla blocks secured the second and the third position, respectively.
Three students each from the upper primary and primary schools of six blocks of the district participated in the quiz competition.
The cluster and block level competitions had been conducted on 20 and 21 August, informed the Tawang DDSE.
“Such co-curricular activities in schools provide the students a platform to develop their personality and self-confidence,” the DDSE said, and urged the teachers to look for inborn talents among the students and encourage them in skill development activities.
The headmasters and teachers-in-charge along with BEOs and officials from the DDSE office were present in the competition.
