Trg under HSRT concludes

ITANAGAR, Aug 30: As many as 180 unemployed youths participated in a ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) and entrepreneurship programme’ which concluded at the State Food Craft Institute here on Friday.
An initiative of the union tourism ministry, the programme was aimed at imparting tourism- and hospitality-specific skills to unemployed youths aspiring to join the tourism sector.
Altogether 120 trainees were imparted training under the HSRT scheme in trades like multi-cuisine cooking, housekeeping, front office management and food & beverage service, while 60 youths were trained under the entrepreneurship programme as bakers and homestay operators (multi-skilled caretakers).
During the valedictory function, Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic Principal Dr AK Tripathy highlighted the importance of tourism development in Arunachal, and encouraged the trainees to start their ventures and use the skills that they have learned.
