DAMBUK, Sep 9: Recipient of the National Teachers Award, Toni Pertin, who is the vice principal of the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here in Lower Dibang Valley district, was given a warm reception by the GHSS Dambuk Patronage Group (GHSSDPG), along with the teachers and students of the school, on his return from New Delhi, at the school on Monday.
Pertin shared his experience with the students and teachers, and donated books that he had brought back from New Delhi to the school’s library.
GHSSDPG president Oseng Apum Yirang advised the students to work hard to attain success, and presented gifts to the teachers and students as a gesture of encouragement for attaining 100 percent result in the last Class 10 board exam.
As per report, the school’s pass percentage in both Class 10 and 12 CBSE examinations has witnessed drastic improvement.
Alumni of the GHSS, Dr Nangkong Yirang, Toni Borang and Ukyar Pertin, also spoke.
