Assn seeks check on haphazard parking

BANDERDEWA, Sep 10: The Banderdewa Karsingsa Youth Welfare Association has written to the capital complex deputy commissioner, complaining against haphazard parking by Assam-registered public transport vehicles on the Arunachal side of the check gate here in Papum Pare district.
It said haphazard parking of autorickshaws, buses, Trekkers, etc, creates heavy traffic congestion, resulting in “a spate of debates and sometimes even fights between the neighbouring states’ people.”
Reportedly, the matter was brought to the knowledge of the Banderdewa police station officer-in-charge to strictly check the parking of vehicles.
The association requested the DC to look into the matter seriously and provide an alternative parking area for “smooth functioning of traffic and to maintain harmony among the neighbouring people.”
